At a conference the other day I heard that the “whole New-Work-stuff” is now probably receding into the background, when Corona is stirring up the economy completely and the focus should be on the hard facts of making money again. I found this remarkable in that the two foci “New Work” and “Making Money” seem to be positioned on opposite ends of a continuum. But why does this have to be a contradiction? Let’s combine the two and use Corona (or the working world according to Corona) as an opportunity to consciously combine the two. Just “making money” works great when the team is highly motivated. People in a team are highly motivated when they are taken seriously and appreciated. Where is the contradiction?
